How to Wear A Suit in the Summer
It is quite probable that your workplace doesn’t care that the temperatures are rising outside. Most men find themselves having to don a suit even during the hottest days of the summer. Fortunately, this doesn’t mean that you are destined to spend these months drenched in sweat. Thanks to these handy tips, you can now wear a full ensemble and still remain fresh and cool.
Opt for a Different Material
The first thing that you are going to need to start with is what your suit is made of. If you choose the right material, you are going to be a lot more comfortable. As a rule of thumb, linen suits are your best option. There are a great variety of these right here at 3 piece suit. The runner up to linen would be pure cotton. It is best to stay away from synthetic materials such as polyester or polyester blend. You should also avoid pulling out your wool suits during this time of the year.
This doesn’t just mean in terms of material but also the colors of your clothing. This is simple common sense – darker colors absorb light while the paler shades tend to reflect them. Now you may not be able to rock a pure white suit as much as you would like to. There are still plenty of ways to go light though. If you want to still remain professional yet cool, blues and light greys are a good way to go.
When you know that it is going to be hot, there are a couple of things you can do to prep for the weather. First, don’t wear your jacket or tie if you are not inside an air conditioned room. Also start wearing an undershirt. It may seem impractical but this is what will help the sweat from seeping through to your shirt and suit.
Follow this advice and you should be able to handle the summer months without breaking too much of a sweat.
